Very Nice

This was a solid tune. The rhythm and drums were tight and very consistent throughout the song; repetitive, yet not boring.
The different electronic effects you used were very unique and really kept the song interesting. Being able to use a lot of different sounds in a song without having it sound too random or out of place is a good quality to have.
The transitions were also very good, everything sounded very professional and flowed very well.
Can't find anything to improve on with this track, it stands up pretty good on its own.
Overall a good listen, great work!

Nice! :D

Nice job man. I loved the guitar, it was very smooth and fun to listen to. Lots of good, professional-sounding riffs. From the nice intro to the great way you ended the song it didn't get repetitive at all. The drums were great in this, too. They complimented the guitar very well.
My criticism is on the transitions. There is a couple spots in this tune where it almost sounded like it stopped and went to another song entirely. All the parts to this song were great, just the transitions sounded a bit choppy to me. :/
Overall, this has massive potential, it already sounds great! It is worlds better than your other song you requested for review. Great work!

Nice

The first quarter or so of this almost reminded me of music that would be on a SNES DK soundtrack. :P The drums had a really good beat in this, the heavy hits on the snare really gave it a more powerful feel, yet it didn't disrupt the overall feel of the song.
The best quality of this song, I think, was the fact that it didn't get stale. There were a lot of different sounds in this song which kept my interest all the way though. The main lick in this song was very good and kept coming back throughout the track. That along with the drums (the snare in particular) really tied this whole thing together quite nicely.
Overall a fun track. Good job.

Inspiring

Oh how I do love a good piano song! This was really gorgeous, truly beautiful elegant and graceful piano music. The melody provoked such a strong feeling of bitter sweetness with me for some reason. All good piano music tends to radiate some kind of a strong feeling to me, and this was no exception.
I think adding a nice, light, warm string ensemble would give this an even deeper, more powerful feel and really take it to the next level.
Thank you for the awesome tune once again, Bellmaker. You're quite the audio artist, from what I've seen.
Awesome work, I cannot wait for the final version. Keep it up!

Thanks for the kind words. The full version will have strings for sure.

Not Bad

I enjoyed it. This song seemed to rely largely on the percussion opposed to the sound effects. I found that to be a very unique aspect to this song, as most trance tracks you hear seem to depend heavily on that electronic sound.
This really had that "involuntary headbang" effect, but I feel like it was slightly disrupted by some of the cymbal crashes throughout the song. As a suggestion, I would try using them more sparingly. They'd sound good in ceratin spots, like maybe at the beginning of a measure. That way you can really keep that driving beat going without disrupting it too much. Just a thought. :)
Overall you did a pretty good job with this, I really enjoyed listening.
Good work!

I know what you mean about the relying on melodies. For example, "Right Here Right Now" by Fatboy Slim.

I would do more melody like "DotA" by Basshunter, but I still need more practice with making melodies because I suck at it.

Thank you for your review.

Pretty Darn Good

I'll get my one criticism out of the way first. I thought the very beginning of this track, though very good, didn't fit in with the rest of the song. It seemed very hard and pounding compared to the rest of the track which was very light and joyful. Just my opinion, though. :P
"Soaring" is a really good name for this song. Most of this song had a really "high-flying", light serene feel to it. I loved that quick descending part on the piano at around 0:45. Transitions like that can really make an average song great.
The melody was very well written and very fun to listen to. Tons of really pretty piano stuff here, which is always a major plus in my book! :D
Overall a very good trance tune, 9/10 from me. Great work!

Needs Work

This whole thing had a really raspy sound to it. The guitar in the beginning almost sounded like it was being played out of tune, it was kind of hard on the ear.
You have some good beginnings here for something good, I think, but you need to put a lot more work on this. It needs a chorus, a bridge/interlude, just more parts to the song in general. Also the quality needs to be improved by quite a bit.
You might have something here if you put some more work and effort into it, keep it up. :)

Cool

This was certainly different. The drums in the beginnning of this were really what set the tone and gave this its rock feel, for the most part. With the electronic effects and other things mixed in here, it kinda gave it the slightest bit of a techno sound, though it was largely still a rock-sounding song. I thought that was pretty neat, that mix really made me feel like this would sound good as a hard rock video game theme. Like something from Metroid, or F-Zero.
What you have here is pretty good, but I think it would sound better if you mixed it up a bit with something different to give the listener another look to the song. Like speeding up the tempo with a quick little interlude, or even a shreddy little solo would sound good in this. :) It doesn't even need to be really shreddy, like some of the guitar parts from the Metroid themes would sound great. :P
Overall, a fun track. Very original, good work!

Originality is what i strive for. I haven't played any of the video games you mention, but i suppose it's good to be compared to them!
Thank you for your review, Metal-Therapy.

Not Bad

This was pretty neat, I loved that crazy beat on the drums, that was very fun to listen to.
I felt that this song relied largely on the drums, which is okay, but it seemed to be kind of "dry". You've got some great building blocks with the beat in this song, I would try to make the bass a bit more active and/or add a more prominent lead that really mingles well with those drums.
Overall, I'd say this tune has some potential. I'd keep working on it!
Good work,

Thank you, melody is my downfall. With some practice, I'll be on the level of Benny Benassi or Fatboy Slim.

Nice

Alright, I really enjoyed this. The male chorus always gives a really "epic" feel to any song, I like that kind of thing. Along with some of the more synth sounding parts and the style of the drums I would say this song had a really heavy techno feel to it.
The little piano interlude was very nice, it kept the upbeatness of the tune going, but gave the listener something new to listen to. It kept the song sounding fresh all the way through.
I LOVED the solo towards the last quarter of the song. It really sounded like a neo-classical shred type guitar solo. That was really some sweet stuff, there.
You did a great job on this, overall. I got a lot of different sounds out of this, really a fun listen. Overall a great track, It kept me interested all the way through, Nice work!

Thanks. Although I think the guitar came off sounding pretty cheesy, it was probably one of my favourite parts of the song. :D
