Pretty Good

I liked this, it had a really hiphop oriented beat on the percussion side, yet I didn't really get that same feeling from the rest of the song. Overall it was quite serene and mellow and had a slight light techno/ambient feel to it.
Though the song was short, that wasn't at all a problem. I thought there was a slight lack "parts", for lack of a better word. I think adding a couple more, different verses to this would make it more complete. Even something like an interlude or a bridge would do this song good.
Overall, I liked this tune, certainly has potential. I enjoyed listening, good work. :)

Thanks for the review. It probably could use more variation, but only if I made it into a full song. This was kinda quickly done out of a lack of inspiration :P

Variety.

Nice, I really enjoyed this. The beginning had such a "sneaking around" spy type feeling to it, that was really cool.
Really the best feature of this song was all the different looks you get from it. It really is impossible to classify this as one genre of music. I heard everything from a video game style to jazz to techno, all in the same song and you did an excellent job fusing them together.
Overall a nice, long, incredibly diverse song. A good listen for sure. Great work!

thanx man ...the begining was acctually a failed attemp at sounding hip hop ish..wich is prolly my next project......o nce i realized i failed i went the clasical music way a little....thanx for the great review ..it took me us a long time to make this song cause we kept givin up on it
thanx again dude

Classic!

Ah, listening to this brought back a lot of good memories of playing Donkey Kong on the SNES. :P
This whole thing sounded really good. I thought it was a great remix, yet it really still kept the great feel of the original track.
The one criticism I have for this is the lack of an ending. It ends so abruptly it seems like it was just cut off half way through the song.
It did seem a little repetitive, but a lot of video game music is that way. I think it's more the nature of the song than a problem.
You did a great job with this, overall. It was really nice listening to a bit of the old SNES DK music, I haven't heard it in years! Thanks for that, and thanks for this great tune! :)

Sweet

Cool, I liked this a lot. I really liked the rhythm in the beginning, it had a really "hollow" type feel, I thought. That was neat. :)
I really liked the breezy little piano that you through in there throughout the song, it really gave a nice balance to the song, which as a hole I thought was really quite fast paced and aggressive.
The piano interlude towards the end really tied this whole thing together perfectly, slowing this really upbeat track down added a really crucial change of pace, making it much more complete and an all around better track.
Overall this was a well-rounded, in-your-face techo tune that also managed to have a softer side without disrupting the feel of the song. Nice job on this, good work!

Wow

Very cool. The guitar was very good and very mellow. The signing was pretty amazing, so talented. His voice really possessed a certain power that not every singer has. (could almost be up there with an Jerry Cantrell or Aaron Lewis...Almost. XP) The vocal harmony was pretty darn good, too.
I really liked the quiet distorted chords at the start of every measure, that gave this a really mellow, yet powerful feel, really original.
The short little shreddy solo was pretty neat, but it was really kind of out of place in this song. A solo was a great idea for this tune, but something slower, with some heavy vibrato and/or slow bends opposed to the quick alternate picking would have been more fitting, I think.
Overall this was one of the better tracks I've listened to, so far. To sum it up, this sounds like something radio-worthy. :)
You did a great job with this, nice work. My first 10/10 given out for an audio submission, I do believe. :P

Wow, your first 10/10 eh?
That means alot. Thanks!

Great!

This was really great. Its one of those tracks that really gets in your head and gives you that insatiable urge to headbang. This song had great rhythm and a really nice techno feel. -Especially the last quarter of the song, or so.
This whole tune flowed very well, it wasn't at all repetitive and the transitions were nearly flawless.
The only thing I didn't care for was the fade out. I don't like fade outs for some reason, but that's my own problem. XP That doesn't take anything away from this song, it ended at a nice point and the song did sound complete.
You did an awesome job with this, great work!

Thanks for the review!
Headbang is right, while writing this i had times where i would simply loop the main chorus and sit in my chair and sort of headbang to it, hah

Cool

It was a very upbeat tune, that's for sure, it really felt like it was everywhere at once! I thought the first 30 seconds or so seemed kind of scattered to me, the drums were almost random and the rising and lowering volume made it kind of hard to listen to for that part of the song, anyway. -Though that's more of an opinion than a criticism. :P
For all the different looks and feels you get from this song, you managed to tie it all together very well. Some tracks I listen to are so repetitive and still manage to fail at making smooth transitions. :P
This song is certainly the work of a very creative artist, I really enjoyed listening, good job!

SymbolCymbal responds:

thank you..prolly the best review i got on the song ..i do agree that i should really remix this song to work out the kinks in the audio levels.. the drum line in the beggining is an odd 3/8 timing ..its a classic jazz rhythm for up beat piano ..unfortunatly i cant play piano like soome jazz greats out there lol.
Thanks for the great review
i give you a solid 9 on the review

Very Light, Pretty Techno

This song had such a gorgeous piano melody that was really mixed in well with the other elements of the song. The point around 2:17 or so kind of broke up the song a little. It almost sounds like song could have ended there, but I would hardly call that a criticism. You put all the parts of this song together in such a way that it was irresistible to resist the urge to tap my foot. Not all songs have that effect, by the way. XP
I'm not too big of a techno fan, but this had a nice, soft feel, it was a really enjoyable listen, good job.

GronmonSE responds:

I felt the song was too short at 2:17 minutes so I decided to extend it and add a slightly deceiving break. New melodies couldn't come up at that point sadly so I just repeated the melodies :P

Glad to hear you enjoyed it. Thanks for the review :D

Also, I'm not big into techno either, but I like stepping out of my genre sometimes when I come up with a decent melody ;)

Again, Very Nice

Very nice, once again. I've been really impressed with all three parts to this. This track had a really strong, adventurous feel to it. Almost like something Koji Kondo would write, with the slightest hint of trance sprinkled in there.
The last quarter of the song really picked up and had more of a dark vibe. (At this point I understand why the halves of your songs sound so different from each other.) XP
Overall, I find all your music to be very original and innovative. Listening to your stuff has been a real treat, man. Great work!
And as mentioned before, I don't understand the low score! It gets 5 from me, so hopefully that'll help the cause. ;p

TheBellmaker responds:

thanx for the 5 man. I tried to envision a hero on an adventure while writing this part of the song. Guess it worked out pretty well :). And if you haven't noticed the ending is the same as the intro just wanted a kool way to end the song too.

Glad you like my music!

Very Nice

The first half of the song or so had a really nice trancey feel with the spacey electronic effects and the cymbal slurs which was cool, but I LOVED the second half. The piano melody was so upbeat and cheerful and the drums really fit in nicely. The distorted bit the came in after was just as good, that dirty feel was really sweet. The way it went from clean to fuzzy and back really flowed well and the abrupt ending with the chord on the piano was nice.
My only criticism is that the first and second halves of this section of your song didn't really seem to belong together. They're both great, that's for sure, but it almost feels like they could stand on their own as their own songs. This was some really nice, well written music, though. -A really fun listen, good job!

TheBellmaker responds:

Thanx for the review. I'll tell you the origin of the song.

I made this song for 5 very special ppl. I made a section for every person. There used to be "voice acting" to introduce each section, but I took it out because it was very hard to understand. So I was left with a song with 6 very different sections.
