Dark

This song was just brooding with this dark suspense, it just felt like SOMETHING was going to happen. 0.o I loved the rain effects, that made me think of a haunted house, or something of the like. The low notes and the melody used on the piano really emphasized the dark, evil sound.
I honestly think this sounds good the way it is, though it might be able to use another melody to mix things up a bit.
Overall this song is really rich, and really evoked a lot of imagery with me. Good work.

Thanks for the review ^^ I look forward to a time when i drag my lazy butt into re making this ^^

Wow, Nice

The melody throughout this song really did "Strut", that's a good way to describe it. It was very upbeat and smooth the way it just rolled along throughout the track. "Suave", would describe it well. :P
The piano really seemed to share the lead quite nicely. Once the piano really came in at around 0:45 it really seemed like there were just two leads going at it at times. They mingled together quite nicely and made a pretty sweet sound.
Overall the melody as a whole was really rich and complex. A very fun listen. Nice job.

Suave... nice word...

Yay!

This song really has a melody that just gets inside your head and makes you feel good. :D I can't describe it any better than that.
When the song thins out to just the piano and drums was a nice transition, but I think it would have served better if it were later in the song. I was like "noo!" when that awesome melody faded out. :P
I also think adding an upbeat solo to this would be a nice touch and really give it even more energy, if you could fit it in.
Overall, I'd say that you've got something really good here. It was a genuinely fun listen, keep up the good work!

Thanks for the review :D Yeah, I really try to make melodies that stay in your head so you will listen to the song again xD It's difficult and doesn't always work though...

Nice

I loved how the rhythm had such really had such a dark and ominous feel, that really stuck out to me. To be honest, I really liked how this was just largely the piano by itself. It's quite refreshing from all the busy sounding songs that are crowded with effects and such.
The song had a really unified theme and it sounded strong all the way through. I think this would have some room for some other melodies if you chose to go that route, but it really does sound fine the way it is now.
I really enjoy piano music and this was a real treat. A nice classical piece.

Great

This song was really all about the beat for me, which is really different for a classical song. I'm not even sure if I would call this a classical song if it weren't for the piano! :P Speaking of the piano, the melody was very nice. It really flowed right along with that great, solid drum beat quite nicely.
The strings also really added a nice second melody to the song that gave it some crucial depth.
I didn't feel like this song got old at all. It just flowed right along and was a fun listen all the way through. I really like this the way it is, I don't see the need to add/change anything. Really a nice change from some of the more in-your-face tunes you hear on NG. Nice work.

Thank you for noticing the difference between this song and a regular classical piece. Newgrounds doesn't have many different genres so I am forced to put this in the classical genre but hey, it's really awesome that you noticed the little differences. Thank you for the review.

Very Nice!

The combination of sounds was really great. The piano had a bit of a foreboding sound to my ears, yet the strings and the twinkley sounds gave it quite a serene, warm sound at the same time.
I must say the percussion in this song was a real surprise to me when it came in. You did do a good job of mixing in the percussion in this. Using a woodblock type thing for the snare gave it a much lighter sound, opposed to using a heavy-hitting snare drum. That really went along well with the overall sound of the song. At first I thought this would have sounded better without the drums, but the more I listened, the more the percussion really added to it.
Overall, I really enjoyed the listen. A really nice track.

Thank you. I used sidesticks to give it a subtler sound that went along with the flow of the piano. The bells...well, I had to add them to give the song a little extra something :D

Thanks again for the review.

Awesome!

I really enjoyed this song, it was just so happy sounding! :D The melodies are very well written and diverse, nothing got old here, not even for a second. The transitions were also near flawless, I could keep my foot tapping throughout the whole track. Nothing felt at all the slightest bit out of place.
I've heard the thunder/rain effect before, and I really like it a lot. It really worked with the piano melody here to make an awesome sound.
This was a really fun track, I've got no negative points to list about this one. What a great sound!

Wow thanks a bunch, glad that you enjoyed it. Its wierd, half the reviews are saying it got repetitive and half commended the song for being non-repetitive. Ah well, its cool that you liked it. Thanks for ther review :D

Good Start

You're right, this song had tons of good melody, but it seems like the way that it is presented could have been a bit better. Like at 0:22 it just feels like the song should explode into an upbeat main theme, where instead it seems to start over with another intro-type piece. The transition to the ending at around 1:40 was quite abrupt and didn't really flow with the part before it, too. I would take a look at that.
Once again, you've got some really good melodies here, I would spend some more time refining this and working on the transitions and you'll have something really good. :)

Lively!

I really loved the happy, upbeat melody in this, and the drums were so jangly! Everything sounded really cool in this. The melody reminded me of something you'd hear in a Paper Mario game. :P
You mixed it up nicely a little over half way through the song with the steel drums was it..? That was a good change of pace, but I think sticking another melody a bit earlier in the song would really add some more depth to it. What you have here sounds really awesome, but it just feels like it might be missing a little something...
This was a solid tune, though. Listening to your stuff has been a real treat, man. Good work.

Thanks! I love the Paper Mario games, lol

Your right, I should've changed the melody earlier, since it would seem extremely repetitive to anybody who doesn't listen to the whole thing.

Thanks for the review!
